An Oklahoma State University staff member has been arrested as part of an internet sex crimes investigation, according to police.
The Edmond Police Department says 51-year-old Pratul Agarwal solicited minors online for lewd photographs and attempted to meet them in person.
Agarwal, the Associate Vice President of Research at OSU, was arrested at his home in Edmond on Friday. According to OSU, he is not currently serving in a "professorial role."
Griffin Media reached out to the university, which said it has been made aware of Agarwal's arrest.
"The university is fully cooperating with law enforcement in this investigation," the university said in a statement. "Because this is an ongoing investigation, the institution cannot provide additional comment regarding the case at this time."
