Qantas is giving travellers more ways to reach the Eternal City by expanding its non-stop Perth to Rome service, adding more than 40 flights from next year.

The national carrier on Tuesday announced it would extend its seasonal non-stop service by eight weeks from May 3 to October 23 and increase frequency from three to four flights a week during the peak travel period.

The 44 extra flights will add nearly 10,000 seats to the route.

Qantas International chief executive Cam Wallace said the extended service meant even more Australians could experience the carrier’s non-stop European routes, which he claimed have some of the highest customer satisfaction scores on the airline’s international network.
