ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM)--- Daylight saving time is coming to an end on Sunday, Nov. 2, which means clocks are going back one hour to standard time.
Experts say the one hour of extra sleep isn't as restful as people think and can actually throw off your body's natural rhythm.
There are ways that a person can try to adjust their body to the changes.
"If you can go outside, if not, try to be in a brightly lit room as much as possible or sit by a window. This will help facilitate a kind of shifting your clock faster in the fall," said Jamie Zeitzer, Stanford University Professor.
Experts say you should get as much sunlight as possible throughout the day to make up for the loss at night.
