MARTINEZ, Calif. (KRON) -- The Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff is looking for a suspect who was mistakenly released from jail. The inmate, 20-year-old Isaiah Jamon Andrews of Kent, Washington, was released on Oct. 22 from the Martinez Detention Facility.

At the time of his release, Andrews had been held on local charges, a juvenile warrant out of Sacramento, and an out-of-date arrest warrant for homicide. According to the sheriff's office, once staff realized Andrews had been released, a search of the immediate area was launched, confirming the inmate was no longer in the area.
Currently, the United States Marshals Service is looking for Andrews. Local law enforcement agencies have also been alerted.
