KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Officers with the Knoxville Police Department responded to assist the University of Tennessee Police Department following a reported shooting incident that happened in the UT Federal Credit Union parking lot at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26.
UTPD had already apprehended and arrested 20-year-old Thaddeus Wallace when KPD arrived for evading arrest, unlawful possession of a weapon, public intoxication and pedestrian to use sidewalk when available.
According to reports, an officer heard gunshots coming from White Avenue and 22nd Street before seeing a man run across a roadway from the parking lot of the Credit Union into a parking garage on 21st Street and Cumberland Avenue.
