TOLEDO, Ohio — A property in east Toledo that once drew complaints from neighbors for its overgrown yard is showing signs of improvement — but some residents said it’s not enough.
Karen Reno and Anthony Foster, who live next door to the Willard Street property, said the yard has been a source of frustration for more than a year. While they acknowledged that the landlord began cleanup efforts about three weeks ago, they believe more work is needed.
“They’ve cut down most of the bottoms of the trees, but all the tops are still like they were,” Foster said. “None of the tops have been done.”
Foster added that tree branches continue to hang over his fence and falling leaves are now littering his yard.
