Three games into the NBA season, the New Orleans Pelicans will be without their best player.
Zion Williamson has been ruled out for Monday night’s game against the Boston Celtics, head coach Willie Green announced about 90 minutes before tip-off.
Williamson was listed on the injury report as questionable earlier Monday with a bone contusion on his left foot.
Green, when asked if the injury is one that is concerning or one that will linger, had this to say.

Green says he believed the injury happened in Friday’s overtime loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
Williamson averaged 27 points, 9.5rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals in losses to the Memphis
