HARLEM, Manhattan (WABC) -- Some people in Harlem say they have been dealing with brown water running from their faucets for weeks.
Over the weekend, Eyewitness News noticed open water hydrants gushing brown water, so we reached out to the Department of Environmental Protection for answers.
They say testing confirmed the water is safe to drink and the brown water is caused by minerals - and all the open hydrants are actually part of the plan to fix it.
On Monday, Harlem resident Eric Foye gave a look at what he has suffered through for three weeks now.
And it's not just brown water out of the sink - he runs the water to let it clear up and then he jumps in the shower.
