JENNINGS, La. (KPLC) - A Haunting on East Nezpique isn’t just any yard on a street with Halloween decorations – it’s an avenue of hope that fights for a cause.

Monique Wood is a partner with Skeletons for St. Jude, a nationwide effort of home haunters who use their Halloween displays to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She said her scare tactics come straight from the heart and from personal experience.

“I lost our mother to breast cancer in 2012. It was hard in our family, but again, it was the motivation behind this because with St. Jude’s, the driving force behind Skeletons for St. Jude’s is to make sure that no family has to go through hard times without the support that they need,” Wood said.
