MANDAN, ND (KXNET) — If you’ve driven on Memorial Highway the last few days, you’ve probably noticed traffic looks different. Crews with the North Dakota Department of Transportation shifted all lanes Thursday, Oct. 23, moving drivers from the temporary roadway on the north side to new concrete on the south side.
The switch lets workers install a new water main and start paving the north side of the highway. It’s part of the same construction project that started in April and will continue through next year.
The biggest change is near 46th Avenue Southeast. Traffic coming off the I-94 and Bismarck Expressway ramp can only turn west onto Memorial Highway or east into Bismarck. Anyone heading south onto 46th Avenue needs to use the McKenzie Drive exit instead.
