BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — More than 400 county officials from across North Dakota are gathering in Bismarck this week to celebrate 50 years of the North Dakota Association of Counties.
The association represents all 53 counties in North Dakota, providing training, advocacy, and support to help local governments serve their communities.
The annual conference runs Oct. 26–28 at the Bismarck Event Center. It’s a mix of professional development, policy discussions, and a milestone celebration for an organization that’s been helping counties work together since 1975.
“This anniversary is really an accomplishment,” said Ryan Gellner, with the North Dakota Association of Counties. “We’re celebrating county government and everything it does for the people we serve. It’s pretty special.”
