CANFIELD Canfield High School's modern band, Cardinal Chaos, got a hands-on learning session on Monday from The Vindys' John Anthony.

The Vindys are an American pop-rock band from Youngstown that opened for rock duo Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo last summer, performing in venues across the United States.

During his visit to the Cardinals, Anthony collaborated directly with band members, offering tips on performance, musicianship and what he thinks it takes to succeed in today's music industry.

"Having someone like John Anthony work with our students is an amazing opportunity," said Canfield Choir Director Megan Mullins. "He brings real-world experience from the stage and studio that will inspire our young musicians to reach new creative heights."
