A Big River Region's gold miner's entry onto the Australian Stock Exchange has been hailed a major win for the Territory's resources sector, signalling renewed confidence in historic goldfields and paving the way for hundreds of local jobs.

PC Gold raised $13.35 million through its oversubscribed ASX listing, in a bid to advance its wholly owned Spring Hill Project, 20 kilometres north of Pine Creek, toward development as an open-pit mining operation.

The venture is set to become a cornerstone of the region's growing mining industry, with an initial mine life of five years and strong prospects for expansion.

Mining and Energy Minister Gerard Maley said the new listing represented the next phase in Pine Creek's mining story and was expected to generate major economic benefits.
