FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- October has been busy across Central California with spooky events drawing large crowds, but ghosts aren't the only thing invisibly lingering in the air.

"We have to make it safe," says Dr. A.M. Aminian from the Allergy Institute. "What are the things that can happen? In big crowds, especially indoors, you can catch these viruses, colds and flus."

With Halloween around the corner, Dr. Aminian reminds parents of the importance of protecting themselves and their children on Halloween night, especially as flu season is upon us.

He says wash your hands, don't touch your face and cover your cough and sneezes so you don't end up like this.

"You get a very high fever, body ache and in vulnerable people like the elderly and children, can have very bad side effects," h
