MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The City of Middleton recently held a panel discussion about the causes, impacts and solutions to Dane County’s Housing crisis.

Two of the panelists visited WMTV on Monday and shared takeaways from the meeting.

“Already this year compared to last year, our numbers are almost doubled for the number of students identified as experiencing homelessness,” said Amy Polle with the Middleton Cross Plains Area School District.

Focusing on long term solutions to this issue, Leslie Albrecht Huber with WayForward Resources said one of the ways will be creating more housing. She added that having support for those who having housing is also vital.
