MADISON, Wis. — Madison police officers and leaders with the Madison Metropolitan School District are urging the public to refrain from sharing unverified social media posts related to recent sexual assault allegations, saying some of the information circulating online is inaccurate.

Both MPD and MMSD said they're investigating allegations of sexual and physical assault by "employees" of Whitehorse Middle School seriously and legitimately.

“We're obviously trying to gather up all of, like, the information and investigation on our end to determine what is truthful,” said Officer Anthony Vogel, public information officer for the Madison Police Department.
