NEW DELHI: Team India vice-captain Shreyas Iyer remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a Sydney hospital as he continues to recover from the severe fall he suffered during the third ODI against Australia. Iyer, who took a stunning catch while running backward from point to dismiss Alex Carey, appeared to injure his left rib cage during the effort and was taken to the hospital shortly after returning to the dressing room on Saturday. It has been reliably learnt that Iyer’s body vitals dropped to dangerously low levels after the fall, prompting an emergency rush to the hospital in what was a life-threatening situation at that moment.
