Former Vancouver Canucks and Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Kesler was arrested and charged with “criminal sexual misconduct” in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, on Monday.

Citing court records, Katie Strang and Sean Gentille of The Athletic report that Kesler was “charged with two misdemeanor counts of criminal sexual conduct in the fourth degree.” The 41-year-old has pleaded not guilty to the charges, per the report.

According to The Athletic, the charges were filed against the former Canucks star and two-time Olympian last Thursday. He’ll return to court on Nov. 6 and posted a $50,000 bond, per Strang and Gentille.

Kesler’s attorney, Robert Morad, gave The Athletic the following statement:
