ROCHESTER, Minn. — The Rochester City Council is currently reviewing its 2026 legislative priorities, preparing to finalize and adopt them in upcoming council meetings. The council is focusing on key bonding requests and legislative initiatives to present to the state next year.

On Monday, the council's session centered on bonding priorities, particularly those related to infrastructure improvements. A proposal for riverfront redevelopment was removed, as the city plans to seek federal funding for that project instead, said Randy Schubring, Rochester City Council President.
