DELAVAN, Wis. -- A person was found dead in Delavan Lake on Monday night, according to the Town of Delavan Police Department.

Officers were dispatched in Delavan Lake, near South Shore Drive, several agencies responded to the scene. Upon arrival, first responders located and removed the individual from the water.

The police department said no foul play is suspected, and there is no concern for public safety. The incident remains under investigation. The identity of the individual is being withheld pending notification of family members by the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office.
