The second phase of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls will be held in 12 States and Union Territories, and the final voter list will be published on February 7, next year.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar said in a media briefing in New Delhi yesterday that the exercise will cover Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Goa, Kerala, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep. He said phase two of SIR will cover 51 crore voters.

Mr Kumar said, printing of enumeration forms and training of Booth Level Officers will begin from today and will continue till 3rd November. The Enumeration phase will run till December 4. Draft Electoral Rolls will be published on December 9, followed by claims and obj
