ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A 33-year-old Athens man is out on bond after allegedly assaulting a woman while dressed as a Nazi on Thursday night.

Kenneth Morgan was arrested by the Athens-Clarke Police Department for aggravated assault and simple battery after video of the assault went viral. Students and the Jewish community at UGA call it appalling.

“The Nazi symbol is the symbol of absolute evil it’s the symbol of hate,” said Rabbi Michoel Refson, co-director of Chabad-UGA. Refson says he first heard about the assault and arrest outside Cutters Pub from Jewish students Friday morning.

“It’s painful, it’s upsetting, it’s hurtful. My grandmother was an Auschwitz survivor,” said Refson.
