MACON, Ga. — Rebuilding Macon has received $230,000 in Community Development and Block Grants.
$70,000 is going towards the organization's volunteer youth program, while $160,000 will go towards funding supplies and other resources within the nonprofit.
The funding will continue to help homeowners like Pat Reeves. Reeves has lived in her Lizella home for 65 years, and says it means the world to her.
"My family home, where my mother and father and my brothers were here and then I raised my children here. And it's just really special," Reeves said.
Reeves says the home holds 65 years of memories, but also has 65 years of wear and tear.
