Category 5 Hurricane Melissa is headed to the island of Jamaica. Mandatory evacuation orders are already in place for several vulnerable communities.

In the Omaha metro, those with connections to the island say they're watching it closely.

With juice and smoothie flavors like Bob Marley and Montego Bay, you can see Jamaica's influence poured into Ital Vital Living off 76th and Cass.

"Our whole menu is really Jamaican-inspired," owner Imani Murray said."The whole name of Ital Vital Living is what Rastafarians would call a plant-based way of life."

Jamaica is especially top of mind for Murray, whose dad is from the island.

"My aunts are over there, a lot of cousins are over there right now, and I've been really thinking about them and worried," Murray said.
