LAS VEGAS (KLAS) - Las Vegas Metro police investigated a shooting in the downtown Las Vegas area on Monday.

It happened along Charleston Boulevard between Pecos Road and Honolulu Street shortly before 9 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest. The man was taken to a nearby hospital.

Pecos Road is currently closed in both directions between Charleston Boulevard and Sunrise Avenue, police told 8 News Now.

No other information has been released.
