It's Friday Night Hero time again. That's when you get to vote for the best high school football player of the week.

Before we look at this week's candidates, let's look back at who you voted for last week.

You chose La Quinta running back and linebacker Colton LaCrone. LaCrone rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown against Rancho Mirage, but it was a deflected-ball interception which he caught and fell into the end zone for a pick-six that was probably the play that you loved most from him last week.

This week's winner, as always is up to you. Simply read the accomplishments of the five candidates below and vote for your favorite in the poll attached to this article at desertsun.com. Whoever has the most votes at noon on Thursday will be the winner.
