The Dodgers won that game on a walk-off home run by Max Muncy in the bottom of the 18th inning. The Dodgers won, 3-2, after both LA and Boston used nine pitchers.

On Monday night, the Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays tied that record, as Freddie Freeman hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 18th inning to give the Dodgers a 2-1 lead in the 2025 World Series.

The Dodgers have now been a part of the two longest games in World Series history, with both taking place at Dodger Stadium.
