Prominent Punjabi-Canadian businessman Darshan Singh Sahsi, 68, was shot dead outside his residence in Abbotsford, British Columbia, on Monday morning.
Sahsi, originally from Rajgarh village near Doraha in Ludhiana district, was the president of Canam International, one of the world’s leading clothing recycling companies.
According to the Abbotsford Police Department, the shooting occurred around 9:22 am. Preliminary investigations point to the fact that the attacker was waiting in a car parked near the victim’s home. As Sahsi entered his vehicle, the suspect opened fire before speeding away.
