Halloween is nearly here, and all of the little witches, vampires, superheroes and princesses are getting ready for a night of trick-or-treating.

Many communities in Northern Michigan have set trick-or-treating times for kids and families to abide by on Friday, Oct. 31. Be sure to check for your area before heading out for some Halloween fun.

Charlevoix County

Boyne City : 5-8 p.m.

Charlevoix : 6-8 p.m.

East Jordan : 5-8 p.m.

Cheboygan County

Cheboygan : Downtown trick-or-treating is 3-5 p.m. It is recommended that other trick-or-treating end by 8 p.m.

Mackinaw City : 5-7 p.m.

Tuscacora Township : 5:30-9 p.m.

Emmet County

Alanson : 5-7 p.m.

Bay Harbor : Trunk R' Treat in the Village is from 4-5 p.m.

Pellston : 5-8 p.m.

Harbor Springs : 5:30
