Who’s ready for Halloween in New Jersey?
It is that time of year to get the candy and decorations ready, maybe curl up and put on a horror movie. If you’re a spooky movie enthusiast, you may have recognized familiar settings in your favorite films.
That is because many iconic and modern horror movies have been made right here in New Jersey. From old-school classics like "Friday the 13 th " to modern slasher films like "Terrifier," the Garden State has lent a hand in shaping horror cinema.
The classic " The Amityville Horror (1979)" was one of the first horror movies filmed in New Jersey. While the movie takes place in Long Island, the eerie house used in the movie was in Toms River. Amityville soon turned into a movie franchise, with two of the sequels also being filmed in New Jerse
