A man identified as 27-year-old Manpreet Singh from Brampton, Ontario, is wanted in connection with the murder of a woman named Amanpreet Saini, according to the Niagara Regional Police Service. Authorities have now reason to believe that the Indian-origin individual may have fled the country after the incident.

27-year-old Saini, who was from North York’s Toronto suburb, was found dead at Charles Daley Park in Lincoln, Ontario, on October 21. On Friday, official said they had issued a Canada-wide warrant for the man’s arrest for second-degree murder.

According to a new release, the incident is being labelled as a “targeted attack with no ongoing threat to public safety.” It further detailed that Amanpreet Saini’s body was discovered at 11 am Tuesday local time with “traumatic injuries
