The Iowa Department of Transportation is shutting a portion of Interstate 80 for road construction.

The closure will impact drivers heading east on Interstate 235 to get to westbound I-80, as well as other motorists on I-80 near the northeast mixmaster.

When will the Iowa DOT close the northeast mixmaster?

The ramp closure is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29. It will be in effect until 5 a.m. Thursday, October 30. It will close again at 8 p.m. on Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday.

The Iowa DOT is also closing westbound lanes on I-80 through the mixmaster. This closure is scheduled from 10 p.m. Wednesday, October 29 to 4 a.m. Thursday, October 30. The closure will be repeated Thursday night into Friday morning.
