GLENMONT, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A grand opening celebration for the Capital Region's third Trader Joe's location in Glenmont is set. Around 9 a.m., on October 28, the new Trader Joe's location will open for business in the Glenmont Shopping Plaza at 388 Feura Bush Road.

The grand opening will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the store manager, crew and local officials, celebrating the newly built space.

In May, the Bethlehem Planning Board approved site plans for the new grocery store. The plans included demolishing an over 18,000-square-foot space, converting over 14,000 square feet of existing retail space into Trader Joe’s, and building a new 6,000-square-foot retail/restaurant space.

It also included building a drive-up bank ATM in the main parking lot and reconfiguring the traffic
