ROCKY RIVER, Ohio (WOIO) - Police arrested a man for assaulting his girlfriend and taking her inhaler as she was trying to leave.
Rocky River police responded to a home on Smith Court just after 2 p.m. on Oct. 11.
According to police, the woman had visible injuries and was struggling to breathe.
Maximum Heasley, 24, was taken into custody and charged with strangulation, assault, and obstructing official business.
Heasley pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Rocky River Municipal Court and his case has been bound over to the Cuyahoga County Grand Jury.
