MADISON - The Wisconsin football team didn't win the game, but it beat the spread.
UW was a 33½-point underdog to Oregon on Saturday, Oct. 25, but in losing, 21-7, held the Ducks to their second-lowest yardage total of the season. The Badgers also scored their first touchdown in 14 quarters and their first points in 11.
Wisconsin (2-6, 0-5 Big Ten) has lost six straight games, but the performance was arguably the team's best of the streak. It was definitely the Badgers ' most competitive.
