Liam Hemsworth is "super excited" about his engagement to Gabriella Brooks.

The Hunger Games actor found love with Gabriella in 2019, months after splitting from his first wife Miley Cyrus, and the couple went public with their relationship update last month revealing they are planning to get married - and Liam has now declared it's a "happy time in life" for the pair.

During an interview on the Today show, Liam said: "I'm incredibly excited."

He also explained the proposal did not take place in the Maldives despite rumours suggesting he popped the question during a romantic holiday with his partner with the actor confessing he actually got down one knee several months ago.
