HONOR — Benzie County voters next Tuesday will again decide on whether to approve a millage to fund an $18 million bond for a new road commission facility.

The Nov. 4 election places a ballot proposal before Benzie County residents that they may recall seeing on last year’s November ballot. A similar proposal was rejected by voters last year, prompting road commission officials to seek a variable-rate millage again in an effort to replace a more than 90-year-old facility. The bond would construct and furnish a new building, including administrative offices, garage space and maintenance shops, on the site of the former Platte River Elementary School in Honor.
