On October 27, 2025, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan , Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoAFW), approved a Rs.15,095.83 crore plan to procure pulses and oilseeds from farmers in Telangana, Odisha, Maharashtra , and Madhya Pradesh (MP) for the Kharif 2025-26 season.
The plan was approved under the Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay SanraksHan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA) scheme and other schemes of the MoAFW.
Approval of Procurement Plan:
Aim: The approval aims to ensure better returns for farmers, protect their incomes from market fluctuations, and support the GoI’s vision of “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” (Self-Reliant India).
