MADISON, Wis. — Bierock is once again getting into the Halloween spirit by transforming into a pop culture-themed bar, and this year, it’s paying tribute to The Golden Girls .
For one day only, on Friday, Oct. 31, Bierock will become The Rusty Anchor , Blanche Devereaux’s favorite bar from the classic 1980s sitcom. The pop-up runs from 2 p.m. to midnight and will feature themed décor, food, drinks and staff in costume.
Guests are encouraged to dress up as well and enjoy special menu items, including a “Cheesecake Martini” and bierock tributes to each of the four Golden Girls: Dorothy, Blanche, Rose and Sophia.
The event marks the eighth year Bierock has “dressed up” as a fictional establishment for Halloween. Past pop-ups have included Hollywood Star Lanes from The Big Lebowski
