LOWER OXFORD — Chester County Detectives, with support from the FBI and state police, are searching for multiple suspects who inflicted a deadline gunfight onto a crowd of people at 9:30 p.m. Saturday during a “jam-packed” Homecoming celebration at Lincoln University.

Unknown assailants opened fire into a crowd of people gathered for a post-football party. One person was killed and six people were injured after being struck by the gunfire. Law enforcement called the situation one of “chaos” during and in the immediate aftermath of the deadly shooting.
