Bengaluru has witnessed a worrying pattern of crimes involving app-based delivery, cab, and auto drivers, raising questions over rider and customer safety in the city.

In a series of incidents since 2016, delivery agents across platforms such as Foodpanda, Zomato, Swiggy, Zepto, and Blinkit have been accused of sexual harassment, assault, and verbal abuse.

The most recent case in October 2025 involved a Blinkit driver arrested for molesting a Brazilian model in RT Nagar, with CCTV footage aiding the police investigation.
