COLUMBIA, S.C. (WSPA) - South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster will speak Tuesday on a plan to help drive donations to regional food banks and others as the federal government shutdown halts SNAP benefits for hundreds of thousands.

During a news conference, McMaster and community and state leaders will announce that the Central Carolina Community Foundation has activated the One SC Fund.

The fund will allow for a "coordinated charitable giving campaign" to provide money to regional food banks and local feeding partners across the state, the governor's office said.

McMaster is set to speak at 10:30 a.m. from the South Carolina Emergency Operations Center.
