PREECEVILLE — The Preeceville walking program will once again kick off for another winter season of indoor walking on Nov. 3. Participants are encouraged to join others at the Preeceville Legion Hall every Monday afternoon, and Wednesday and Friday mornings. The program runs until the end of April.
“When you walk at a comfortably quick pace inside, you get the same benefits as when you walk outdoors. There's good reason to get moving. Moderate-intensity physical activity, such as walking, reduces the overall risk of death from all causes. Walking is one of the best exercises for all age groups,” stated Jackie Blotski, one of the organizers.
