NORFOLK, Neb. (KOLN) - Police arrested a drunk juvenile after they reportedly fired a ghost gun in a central Norfolk neighborhood on Wednesday.
Norfolk Police were called to the area of North Ninth Street and Koenigstein Avenue following multiple reports of shots fired at 1:02 a.m.
According to police, while in the area, an officer heard an additional single gunshot nearby. Officers searched the neighborhood and found a juvenile unconscious on a terrace four and a half blocks from the original call location.
Police said a firearm was found on the ground next to the individual. The weapon was identified as an AR-style pistol. The firearm’s lower receiver appeared to be privately manufactured and did not contain a serial number or manufacturer markings.
