How do you replace a two-time all-1A Trico League place kicker — and also a punter — because of injury when you’re the La Center Wildcats?
With ease, that’s how.
A quadricep injury sustained a few weeks ago by La Center quarterback Nate Rembisz halted the junior’s place kicking and punting duties. Since then, the Wildcats have turned to Quinn Stevens (place kicker) and Landen Randall (punting) with great results.
“I haven’t missed a (point-after try) yet,” Stevens said.
That also includes a perfect 6 for 6 in Friday’s 42-16 win over Kalama . This marks the second time Stevens has filled in for Rembisz, but first in a few seasons.
