Cyclone Montha on Tuesday approached near the Andhra Pradesh coast as the landfall process began, and it would take three to four hours to cross the state late at night, the weather department said. Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring Odisha are on high alert, as officials evacuated hundreds of people, stocked relief materials and made other preparations as the cyclone is set to make landfall near Kakinada.
