SCHENECTADY — Proctors Theatre is getting an upgrade.

The downtown Schenectady-based theater will be updating its outdated incandescent stage lights with new, energy-efficient LED lighting as part of a $1.4 million renovation intended to keep Proctors competitive with national theaters.
