HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) - Applications are now being accepted for the annual Henderson Merchants' Christmas Parade.

Organizers state applications will be accepted no later than November 26.

Organizers also state drivers must possess a valid driver's license. No hard candy or other objects will be allowed to be thrown into the crowd. An official Santa Claus will be riding in the parade, so no other Santa's will be allowed.

The lineup will be emailed by Thursday evening or Friday morning before the parade. The parade itself will form at Fourth and Main streets.

Organizers also state floats must report to assigned staging areas no later than 8 a.m. for judging. 1st place will win $200, 2nd will win $100 and 3rd will win $50.
