CHICAGO (WNDU) - The man who was at the center two domestic violence cases involving his estranged wife who was found dead in a Chicago high-rise is now charged with her murder one year later.
According to attorneys for the family of Caitlin Tracey, an arrest warrant has been issued for Adam Beckerink.
In a felony complaint filed by Chicago police in Cook County, Beckerink is accused of causing Tracey’s death by throwing her over the railing of the 24th floor of the east stairwell of his South Loop condo building on Oct. 27, 2024.
The first-degree murder charge comes exactly one year after Tracey’s death and exactly one week after Beckerink was sentenced to 93 days in jail and two years of probation on domestic abuse charges stemming from a pair of separate incidents involving Trace
