HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A man on federal supervised release was arrested yesterday, according to the Huntington Police Department.

HPD said members of its Violent Crime Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop on October 27 in the 1300 block of Madison Avenue when the arrest happened.

During the stop, the passenger of the vehicle, Terry Cox, was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun and “distributable quantities of both fentanyl and crack cocaine,” HPD said.

Cox was arrested and charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and one felony count of persons prohibited from possessing firearms - convicted felon.

He was arraigned by a Cabell County Magistrate and is being held on a cash-only bond of $75,000, according to HPD.
